Aura Hotel Times Square Newly Renovated New York

Our group stayed at this hotel for a short visit to enjoy the nearby Bryant Park and explore the city. The hotel's location was perfect for us, with easy access to transportation and dining options within walking distance. We appreciated the comfortable beds and the cleanliness of the rooms. However, the lack of a bar and some confusion with charges during check-out were minor inconveniences. Overall, it was a decent stay for our short trip to the city.

We liked this hotel, it was ideal and exceptionally clean. Our room was impressive and brand-new with a comfortable bed and the continental breakfast offered has lots of dishes. The location was magnificent, not too far away from Rockefeller Center.

Despite billing confusion, the staff allowed an early check-in. The lack of communication and additional charges were frustrating.

Awesome location near all the action in Times Square, with super comfy beds and a staff that's on point to make sure you're well taken care of. The hotel offers a gym to sweat it out and a chill rooftop area to unwind after a long day of exploring the city. Only downside was the lack of a luggage storage option post-checkout, which can be a hassle if you have a late flight ⭐.

The spacious, quiet room at Hotel Mela was a welcome retreat after a long day exploring NYC. The friendly staff and superb location near Bryant Park made our second stay enjoyable. However, the dated decor and small elevators were drawbacks. Nonetheless, the central location and comfy bed were highlights for theater lovers.

Everything was great, amazing hotel, the location was stunning very close to Times Square, Subway, Bryant Park and 5th Avenue and theaters. Fantastic staff, always with a smile. There was lots of food, in general it was great. Service was friendly, we felt welcome.

Soundproofing. Room overlooking the courtyard has a loud air-conditioning noise and poorly soundproofed walls... disturbing if you have a light sleep.

The rooms at Hotel Mela Times Square were surprisingly spacious, especially for Midtown Manhattan! Our Deluxe Room with 2 Double Beds felt cozy, and the Italian-inspired decor added a touch of elegance. The bathroom was like a mini spa, complete with high-quality bath products.

Personally, I found the 32-inch flat screen LED TV in the Relax Room a bit small for my liking, but I know some people might not mind.

I loved almost every detail, including perfect location and staff. The room was with 2 beds instead of one double.

most appreciable is without hesitation the proximity to Times Square. reception staff and person in charge of luggage on the day of departure are very friendly and helpful. Our return flight being late in the evening, we were able to take advantage of the shower room of the small sports hall to refresh ourselves before our departure, appreciable.

The not very modern side of the room. I had to ask the day of our arrival that the air-conditioning box be cleaned because a lot of dust came out of it!!! When we tried to pick something up on the floor, we saw an empty plastic bottle under the bed; we didn't report it and it stayed there for the whole week of our stay... The bathroom was very clean. There was also the disappearance of a mobile phone charger placed in a pocket on the table (we really didn't think it was necessary to put it in the bedroom safe), we reported it to the reception but we never got it back... (no excuse either). As a result, we became a little paranoid and put, in addition to the important things already in place, a maximum in the trunk or in our suitcase which is always locked !

the location was convenient, close to Times Square. the staff was helpful, allowing early check-in and providing a playpen for our toddler. the room was clean and spacious, with free working wifi.

The location, an essential positive point, crossroads between the tourist buses, the Empire, Macy's and 34 th street, uptown and downtown, in the heart of Times square.

Honestly, I'm very disappointed. I stayed in this hotel seven years ago and prices have gone through the roof. No renovation since then, carpet is quite old and not very clean, most importantly, advertised price has increased by 14. 75% plus 30 euros per night for "service charges" which is free wifi and coffee and apples! So I have to add 250 euros to the 4 nights booked and I really didn't expect it. Facade hidden by scaffolding but no noisy work, fortunately. staff is nice, I won't go back on that but, you will find on this site other hotels half price and very comfortable. small room, I had asked for 2 single beds in remark months ago as I was travelling with my son and we finally got a double bed of 1m60 I think is not top. Certainly not as good as the 4 stars that were announced.

The impressive food scene is one of the best parts of a stay at this hotel. The Long Room, an Irish gastropub, was a delightful discovery. I felt like I was transported to a cozy tavern straight out of a storybook. The craft brews and succulent dishes made for an unforgettable evening.

Uber drivers had trouble finding the hotel.

I chose this hotel for a business product showcase, and it provided all the necessary amenities for a productive stay in NYC. The location was convenient for both work and exploring the city, the room was comfortable, and the staff was friendly and accommodating.

The quality/price ratio is bad, it is a very expensive hotel for the level of services it offers. The superior rooms have a view on... a wall! with little daylight. The lobby is very small, as is the fitness room... breakfast in the hotel restaurant is very expensive for what it is.

LOVED the amazing breakfast, especially the scent of apples everywhere. Would definitely choose it again! Even better in person than photos.

The staff at this hotel are incredible - always friendly, super helpful, and willing to go the extra mile. They gladly held our luggage before check-in and provided us with great tips to navigate NYC. the location is superb, just a short walk from Times Square. the room was spotless, and the overall service was top-notch. We loved the cozy feel of the Saju Bistro next door. For the price we paid, the experience was simply amazing.

One thing that could be improved is the need for some updates in the room - it's clean, but a bit outdated as mentioned before. it would be great if the hotel could ensure that guests get the room they reserved and better communication about any changes in room type at check-in.

I keep returning for the exceptional service and comfort. On my first stay, the staff kindly assisted with printing. The hotel's 24-hour amenities, including room service and security, suit me perfectly. Looking forward to returning for New Year's!

Great location close to all the theaters and at a great price. the staff was pleasant and helpful. Plus, there were plenty of affordable eateries nearby.

No ice machine on the floor and the in-room refrigerator was not known to be available. the heater in the room was noisy when it turned on.

We explored the city from a hotel close to the heart of it all. There were plenty of Irish bars to grab a drink and enjoy the bustling atmosphere. Walking distance to Time Square was convenient to see all the sights. The rooms were smaller but still appropriate for our needs.

The location of this hotel is top-notch, close to everything with a walk to Times Square and the subway close by, making life easy. Stayed at Hotel Mela for five nights during a visit to Times Square. Convenient location near midtown business and entertainment. Close enough to the theater district for easy access but still quiet enough for a peaceful sleep. Loved the Times Deli nearby. The hotel itself was clean, convenient, and perfectly functional. Despite the small room, there was a working desk and enough room in the bathroom. The staff was courteous and promptly addressed any issues. a great stay.

This place is in the perfect location for seeing all the must-see sights as it is right in the center of Times Square. The service, room service, and dry cleaning are top-notch, as are the bell staff/porter, laundry. Additionally, the room amenities such as heating, air conditioning, in-room safe, television.
